it seemed a little hectic when students from hermione's time somehow stumbled across the past, but with magic.. anything could happen. headmaster dumbledore made the arrangements for the castle so that the new amount of students would fit in without a problem. although, it didn't help with the marauder's and everyone else questioning where the new students came from; but, at the great hall's welcome feast, dumbledore insisted that everyone welcomed the students and help them get settled in. rumors startling circling the castle about the new students coming from another school, but no one could figure out which school that would possibly be. hermione never gave anyone an answer when they would approach her in the corridors and ask her what brought her to this castle. instead, she'd simply hug her books more securely and wandered towards the gryffindor common room to study.
once letting the portrait's password slip through her crimson lips, hermione made her way inside until she placed herself down at an empty table. scattering the books in front of her, she had just been proud of her visit to the library in search of new reading material. some of the books hadn't been brought to the restricted section until they came around her time in the wizarding world. even though she had to spend hours to learn the method of finding what she wanted to read in the library, since the shelves seemed to have been rearranged, hermione kept a photographic image of the library's organization. with harry's parents being alive, she could only imagine that both harry and ron would be off pulling pranks and following around the marauder's. she assumed she would be alone for quite a while since she hadn't insisted on tempering with the past; even though dumbledore was quite positive nothing would change.
